Spay & Neuter

HElp the pet population

To improve pet health and reduce overpopulation, the Worcester Animal Rescue League Spay & Neuter Clinic provides low cost spay/neuter surgery for cats and dogs. Through prevention and public education, we can save lives.

WARL offers spay and neutering services all year.

The Worcester Animal Rescue League reserves the right to deny surgery on any pet. Procedures and vaccines will be given at the veterinarians discretion.

Please call 508-853-0030 Ext. 4 to make your appointment.

PLEASE NOTE: Due to heavy demand and high call volume, it may take a while for us to return calls for spay/neuter appointment requests. We urge you to complete your booking now, as we are working hard to process appointments as quickly as possible. We do receive each and every voicemail so we ask for your patience. We will respond as soon as we can.

We are currently booking out 6-8 weeks for spay/neuter surgeries.

Mother spay program

Did your pet have an unexpected litter?

If your female dog or cat is expecting or just had babies, we can help!  By joining our Mother Spay Program, we will spay Mom, at no cost to you (once the litter is weaned) and find homes for all the babies through the WARL Adoption Program.  Mom will stay with you.

By spaying Mom, you are improving her health and quality of life while ensuring no more unwanted litters.

By surrendering the kittens or puppies to WARL for adoption, you remove the stress of trying to find homes for the little ones yourself. Like all WARL shelter pets, they will be spayed/neutered, receive veterinary care, vaccinations and preventatives. Most importantly, they will be given top-notch care from the moment they are admitted to WARL to the moment they are adopted.
