Meet Beva! She may have a grumpy face, but she is such a love. Beva has had some hard times in the last few years. She was rehomed twice to homes that were scary for her before being surrendered to the shelter in 2018. She was then adopted out, and her owner has since passed away. When Beva came back to us, she was very sad and quiet knowing she lost her best friend. She is slowly becoming more active and receptive to affection. In her previous homes, she didn’t always pee in her litter box. She doesn’t have that issue in the shelter, because she has a regular routine. She needs to have a routine to feel comfortable doing her daily business. It’s very important to start Beva in one room with her food and litter box until she feels comfortable enough to explore. Previous owners described Beva as friendly and loving once she gets used to you. She needs a patient owner with no children and no other animals, who will visit her in her safe room rather than force her to live in the rest of the home before she’s ready.
