Ben and Jerry
Meet Ben and Jerry, a bonded pair of 6-year-old chihuahuas looking for their forever home—together. These two are deeply connected and thrive in each other’s company, they would really like to be adopted as a pair.
Jerry is the larger of the two at 18 lbs, with a soft white coat and a cautious but curious personality. He takes his time warming up, but once he trusts you, he’s affectionate and wants to sit in your lap all day, all the time if he can. Once Jerry is comfortable with a person, Ben tends get comfortable as well.
Ben, the 17 lb brown-coated half of the duo, the more fit of the pair. He often helps Jerry navigate new situations, and their dynamic is a great example of how dogs can truly support one another.
Ben and Jerry have lived together their whole lives and are accustomed to a quieter environment where they can feel safe and secure. While they may need a bit of patience when settling into a new home, they are great once comfortable.. Daily walks, cozy spots to nap, and gentle affection are their top priorities.
We are looking for an adopter who understands the needs of small, sensitive dogs and is ready to provide a calm, stable home. If there are too be children in the home, they should much older teens. Ben and Jerry have something special, and they’re ready to share it with someone who will love them both.
Interested in meeting this charming duo? Please come to the shelter on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays between 12-4pm. There may be other available times to meet them, please email dogs@worcesterarl.org for more potential meet times.
